Maureen Evans - Childhood Memories
The Bloomfield Coverlet evoked memories of my childhood, watching my father at his workbench repairing Radios for our friends . His boxes of glass valves, coils of wires and brightly coloured resistors fascinated me . Even today so many years later the smell of a soldering iron takes me back to those days
in the 1950s . In retirement he was a member of the Royal Signals Amateur Radio Group and spoke to people all over the world with his call sign G30EK.
